"Jay Leno's Garage" has had a lot of interesting cars come onto its showroom floor, but the new Jeep Wrangler-based monster truck, Legend, probably takes the cake.

Built by the aftermarket gurus at Fab Fours, the truck is truly a remarkable feat in automaking that is both fun and intense. The Jeep has been tweaked to provide a monster truck feel that makes off-roading over desert arroyos and rocks seem like a breeze.

According to Fab Fours CEO Greg Higgs, the upfit company started with a Wrangler base because of its already exceptional off-roading capabilities. Next, they added astonishing 50-inch tires, a monster truck suspension, red-tinted windows, humongous fenders and a grille/bumper combo that they've christened: the grumper.

The Jeep's interior is fully blacked out to complement its already aggressive features, which Higgs said makes the truck nearly impossible to drive at night when combined with its red-tinted windows.

In the video, Leno takes the Legend out for a spin and you can see the truck's power not only on the highways, but more importantly on the rocks and ridges of the L.A. desert.
