Photos of the new Batmobile have hit the internet, and they are causing quite a stir. In anticipation for Zack Snyder's new superhero movie, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the marketing team behind the film have been releasing teaser shots from the set for the last few weeks, but it was the shot of the Batmobile that really got people talking.

Close-up shots of the Batmobile and its stunt car show a definite Ram logo on the steering wheel prompting folks to deduce that the Batmobile was made using a base Chrysler frame and other parts.

If the rumors are true it's very fitting that the Batmobile be made by Chrysler, who has a long history with the Caped Crusader. Most recently the automaker did an ad campaign centered on the Dark Knight Rises, the third film in the wildly successful Christopher Nolan trilogy. "Imported from Gotham" was a very successful campaign for Chrysler's 300 model, and we wouldn't be surprised if we see another similar campaign come out with this latest Batman incarnation.

The marketing and engineering folks at Chrysler are smart to hang their hat with Batman. The film franchises alone are in the multi-billion dollar ballpark with the Batmobile being one of them most recognizable cars in the world.

And with Chrysler's reputation for powerful cars that are insanely fun to drive, it's not much of a surprise that Snyder and co. might go to the automaker for help in creating the infamous roadster.

No official word yet on if Chrysler is behind this newest Batmobile, but if you don't want to wait to see it in the film, be sure to stop by Richardson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and test drive your own "Batmobile" today.
