Every year, the City of Richardson hosts several terrific summer camps for local children. These camps offer a host of fantastic activities that are both very fun and highly educational. Richardson has been offering summer camps to school-aged children for over 40 years and this year that tradition continues.
Richardson’s summer camps are held on a weekly basis and feature unique themes each week. These themes range from recycling and crafts to safety/first-aid and cooking. Camps are offered for different age groups: Kinder, Elementary and Teen, with age-specific activities offered in each age group. Summer camp has been proven to provide kids with lasting knowledge, skills and memories that they will use throughout their lives. Richardson’s camps are award-winning and have become exceptionally popular with families throughout the Metroplex.
We hope you will join children and parents from around Richardson in participating in these outstanding summer camps. The camps are ongoing throughout the summer, running until August 21. For more information about this year’s summer camps and how your child can participate, visit the City of Richardson's website or contact the Heights or Huffhines recreation centers.
