Richardson’s Eisemann Center is debuting a wonderful night of music on March 20, 2015, where classical staples meet the jazz age. Presented by Open Classical, a local music company that looks to engage the public with modern interpretations of traditional music, “Classically Jazzed” is a unique concert that provides a jazzy spin on timeless favorites.

The show’s first half focuses on reinterpreting pieces from famed composers like Bach, Vivaldi and Mozart into jazz numbers played by a combo of local musicians. These musicians include several artists from Dallas-area bands, such as Mark Eneti from Light Crust Doughboys and Michael Nesuda from The Obscure Dignitaries.

The second half of the program showcases popular Polish jazz vocalist Grazyna Auguscik, who will perform jazz interpretations of Chopin and other classical composers from Poland. She will also be performing songs from her own catalog, as well as songs by current popular musicians, including Nick Drake.

“Classically Jazzed” opens on March 20, 2015 at The Eisemann Center in Richardson. We highly recommend that you check out this superb musical event that is perfect for music lovers of all ages.
