The Russian Grand Ballet is coming to Richardson this September with their regal production of the ballet classic, “Swan Lake.” Happening on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, the ballet is sure to be one of the most exciting events in Richardson this year.
“Swan Lake” is considered the “ballet of all ballets,” thanks to its extraordinary music, brilliant choreography and powerful story. The ballet follows the love story between Princess Odette and Prince Siegfried, as they try to break an evil spell cast upon her by the sorcerer Von Rothbart. The score, which was composed by legendary composer Tchaikovsky has made the ballet a continual favorite among generations old and new.
The Russian Grand Ballet is one of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world. Traveling the globe, they perform many of Russia’s greatest ballets, from "Swan Lake" to "The Nutcracker" to "Sleeping Beauty."
