Polish your boots and brush up on your two-step because the one and only North Texas Fair & Rodeo is almost here! The fair turns 88 this year and is jam-packed full of fun events like nightly concerts, rodeo and livestock shows and more. There is a lot to do for all ages, so pack up the family in your new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica and head down here August 19-27 for some rootin’ tootin’ fun.

Nine nights of live music is a dream come true for country fans! Each evening of the fair features several performances by both homegrown and national artists. Attendees can look forward to hearing the melodies of the Josh Abbot Band, Alto Mando, Jake Hooker & The Outsiders, and more.

As the name of the fair suggests, there are also nightly rodeos! Entry to most rodeos is included with general admission. Throughout the nine days, there are a variety of rodeo events to see like the team-based Invitational Ranch Rodeo, the PCRA Rodeo and the Mutton Bustin’ rodeo. The can't-miss Mutton Bustin' rodeo, also known as the fair's cutest rodeo, features youngsters ages 3-7 riding on sheep.

Additionally, attendees can look forward to more contests, livestock shows, contests, carnival rides and games, a kid zone, live performers, including America’s Got Talent quarterfinalist Loop Rawlins, a slew of interactive exhibits, and much more! There will even be a Bengal Tiger exhibit where fair-goers can see the exotic cats up close.
