Along with receiving a full redesign, the Jeep Compass is bringing in a new off-road oriented Trailhawk edition!
In the Jeep lineup, Trailhawk models are distinguished by their enhanced crawling skills, all-terrain-ready traction control, off-road tires and underbody skid plates. Plus, they offer a lifted stance that results in impressive approach and departure angles. With these upgrades, the new 2017 Compass Trailhawk promises greater off-road capability for Jeep fans interested in a compact SUV.
While the new model will feature the same engine as the rest of the Compass lineup – a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque – it’ll provide enhanced performance thanks to the upgrades we mentioned above.
By the way, the Compass’ four-cylinder offers improved power ratings and now includes stop-start technology to help increase fuel efficiency.
Like other Trailhawks, the Compass edition will have a distinct fascia and, we expect, luxury upgrades like a large 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, leather seats and auto-dimming mirrors.
The new Compass is expected to arrive to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2017! If you can’t wait, browse our current inventory to find Trailhawk models for other vehicles in the Jeep lineup.
