The North Texas Irish Festival returns to Dallas’ Fair Park from March 3-5! The three-day event offers a chance for locals to engross themselves in Celtic culture and get a taste of the Emerald Isle right in your backyard.
One of the highlights of the festival is, of course, the food. If you’re a self-proclaimed epicure or simply love Irish dishes like potato pancakes and Shepherd’s pie, you’ll want to head to the Women’s Museum to check out the culinary area of the festival. Numerous vendors will have food for sale, plus there will be samples from some of the best chefs in DFW, as well as a whiskey and mead tasting stage on Friday night.
In addition, you’ll not only have an opportunity to experience authentic Irish food and drink, but also lots of traditional entertainment. There’s a full schedule of music from artists like Therese Honey, Piper Jones Band, Michael W. Harrison and headline performers The Town Pants.
Irish dance and other performances are also on the bill, along with activities like Celtic storytelling, blacksmithing demonstrations and more at the festival’s Celtic Village.
Visit the Irish Festival website to learn more and get tickets online. Passes are also available for purchase at Tom Thumbs and Albertsons.
