New Stellantis Performance and Tech Features in 2024

Stellantis, a global automotive leader, continues to push the boundaries of innovation in 2024 with a host of new technologies. The company will introduce advanced firmware and electrified propulsion systems across its expanding lineup.

Stellantis Introduces New Technologies in 2024

Stellantis is set to unveil a range of cutting-edge technologies for its North American passenger cars in 2024. This includes the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) features into the lineup, powered by the STLA Brain platform. Designed to optimize both hardware and software, STLA Brain will offer seamless Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for Uconnect firmware. Cloud-based enhancements will significantly elevate the infotainment systems across Stellantis vehicles, with Amazon collaborating on STLA Brain OTA solutions for select models. Future possibilities include the introduction of augmented reality to the platform.

Some Stellantis models will feature the STLA SmartCockpit suite, which synchronizes multimedia systems with external digital devices. This portal promises a personalized digital experience, supporting features like tailored entertainment and integrated shopping hubs. Foxconn will supply components for the SmartCockpit suite, complementing additional AI integrations facilitated by Amazon.

In partnership with BMW, Stellantis has developed STLA AutoDrive technology, enhancing autonomous driving capabilities on specific models. The Level 2 AutoDrive package enables advanced semi-autonomous driving on highways, with options to upgrade to Level 2+ and Level 3 for enhanced functionalities.

On the performance front, Stellantis introduces several new features across its latest models. Four Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) platforms—STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large, and STLA Frame—offer varying driving ranges up to 500 miles, catering to diverse consumer needs. These platforms integrate nickel into their Electric Drive Modules, emphasizing sustainability by eliminating cobalt in nickel-based batteries. Additionally, mild hybrid technologies will expand across Stellantis' Jeep and RAM models, enhancing fuel efficiency in line with evolving automotive trends.
