2025 Ram 1500 Tradesman® vs 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten Trim Levels

The newest Ram 1500 delivers up to 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. To access this level of performance straight from the factory, you'll need to opt for the top-of-the-line Tungsten edition. However, not every driver requires that much grunt or luxury. If you'd rather stick with the essentials and avoid extra bells and whistles, the Tradesman® trim is the ideal choice. Though these two versions couldn't be more different in many respects, they both share the same rugged Ram 1500 DNA.

Performance

As the entry-level model, the Tradesman® comes equipped with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 producing 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. You also have the option to upgrade to a 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbocharged V6, which boosts output to 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. Step up to the Tungsten, and you get the standard high-output version of the 3.0L Hurricane engine, delivering a thrilling 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque.

Appearance

The Tungsten trim is fully outfitted on the outside for a premium look. It features full LED bi-functional projector headlamps with adaptive front lighting, power-deployable running boards for effortless entry, and exclusive bodyside moldings unique to this trim. The Tradesman® model, by contrast, emphasizes the Ram 1500's functional design, showcasing its signature imposing grille and durable styling cues. It may lack some of the Tungsten's upscale touches, but it still carries the bold aesthetic that truck enthusiasts love.

Features

Interior appointments really set the Tradesman® and Tungsten apart. Tradesman® cabins include a straightforward 7-inch driver information display, an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, and clever in-floor storage solutions. Meanwhile, the Tungsten pampers occupants with a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, heated and ventilated reclining rear seats, and premium leather front buckets with a built-in massage function. For those who split time between work and weekend adventures, the Tradesman® offers all the essential toughness and functionality-yet if cutting-edge luxury and entertainment tech are must-haves, the Tungsten is in a class of its own.
