What's New for the 2019 Ram 1500?

Bigger and more technologically advanced, the 2019 RAM 1500 is more hospitable to its passengers and driver. Extra performance and capability are the best for any Ram 1500 to date. You are sure to appreciate how this model is primed to serve you.

For the newest generation of Ram 1500, the truckmaker stretched beds broader and longer and raised them higher, which means more room for your cargo. Cabins are larger, too, with more room for passengers. There is more internal storage, including RamBins in the backseat. New aerodynamic features incorporate the hood shape and bed-based aero treatments. A rear spoiler has been added to the tailgate. The completely redesigned rear bumper has a built-in step to make loading easier. Body components such as the doors, hood, and tailgate, are lighter weight due to new aluminum construction.

Stylish and Noteworthy Trims and Features

In this new generation, Ram continues its emphasis on a well-rounded experience. Ride quality is achieved through extensive noise insulation and a class-leading suspension. Material quality is top notch for the work truck, and it continues to improve as you climb the ladder. The Rebel returns with exclusive upholstery and a racier look. Leather trims the heated and ventilated seats in the Laramie. Premium pedigree leather dresses the chairs of the Laramie Limited. The Limited adds leather touches and real wood grain to dash and doors. On new editions, you can get a panoramic sunroof that provides 10 square feet of sky.

Digital Trends has proclaimed the Ram 1500 new dash tech as class-leading. There are three UConnect screens and a standard rearview camera. The most extensive touch display is 12 inches, and users can split the screen between navigation and another function. Five USB ports and an available wireless charger help everyone's phone stay charged. Four is a new USB-port type that loads chargers four times faster than the original USB ports. For audiophiles, a new Harman Kardon system includes 19 speakers and provides a class-exclusive experience for listeners.

Powering Through With Exceptional Capacity

2019 RAM 1500 FrontEvery truck needs power if it is to move the loads that you need moving. As such, Ram is making eTorque available on its engines. Harnessing a hybrid-like power, the regular truck engines can do more. A higher rate of torque allows them to move big payloads and handle heavy tows.

The Pentastar V6 can boost torque by 90 lb-ft. The HEMI V8 eTorque edition boosts torque by 130 lb-ft. Hybrid technology includes an electric motor and brake regeneration. To reduce fuel use, there's a stop-start system for red lights. A cylinder management system trims V8 fuel use on the highway. For greater precision, the TorqueFlite automatic has been returned. Ram has added a heat exchanger system to warm up the rear axle gear oil. New off-roading tools include an electronic locking rear differential.

Which Safety Features are Included?

2019 RAM 1500 BedIf you spend much time on dark roads, you'll appreciate the new LED Adaptive Front-Lighting System. It can move the light with the wheels, better illuminating the truck's path. RAM has added other crash avoidance systems to the menu as well. The Forward Collision Warning-Plus responds with an auto brake if a warning doesn't get the braking response needed for a dangerous situation. LaneSense watches for departures and helps correct the truck's trajectory. An available ParkSense feature can help move the truck into a parallel or perpendicular parking space. Adaptive Cruise Control provides more respite for the hard-working driver.
