What's New for the 2022 Dodge Challenger?

The modern Dodge Challenger is largely responsible for bringing back the classic American muscle car. It even has an exterior design that hearkens back to the muscle cars of yesteryear. The 2022 Dodge Challenger continues this legacy of stylish design with massive amounts of horsepower. There aren't many new additions to the Challenger for 2022. An advanced alarm system has been added to the R/T Scat Pack.

2022 Dodge Challenger Trims & Features

The 2022 Dodge Challenger comes in 11 different models. The base SXT trim gets an 8-way power driver's seat and Dual-Zone Air Conditioning. There's an AM/FM stereo with six speakers. The infotainment system has Bluetooth technology and allows for hands-free phone calls. Higher trim levels offer features like heated and ventilated seats. Leather upholstery is available as well.

The highest trim level, in addition to offering the most horsepower, also offers the most convenience and technology features. There's a 900-watt Alpine stereo with 18 speakers by Harman Kardon. There are now 2 LCD monitors up front. The top trim level also gets a 220 mph speedometer.

2022 Dodge Challenger Horsepower

If horsepower is what you're after, the Challenger has plenty to spare. There's an available 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that produces 375 hp. Dodge also offers a 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 that makes 485 hp and 475 lb-ft (pound-feet) of torque. If these numbers are still not enough for the thrill seekers out there, Dodge also offers the Challenger SRT Super Stock. This model can produce up to 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, making it a powerhouse on any racetrack.

2022 Dodge Challenger Safety

Every Dodge Challenger gets an advanced airbag system. There's a Blind-Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross-Path Detection. These systems greatly enhance the driver's awareness. There's also a Forward-Collision Warning that works at full speed. Every Challenger has a Parkview® Rear Camera to make backing up both safer and easier. The Challenger's 4-wheel disc and the anti-locking brake system have plenty of stopping power without the worry of lockups.
