What's New for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Following a full redesign in the 2022 model year, the Grand Cherokee lives up to its name as the grandest and most luxurious in the Grand Cherokee family yet. A new look comes with the Grand Cherokee in 2022. This year's Grand Cherokee has a softer appearance on the outside that gives it a more contemporary and elegant look. While the Jeep may have softened its appearance this year, it does not have any shortage of power or capabilities when it comes to driving off-road. The Jeep is also even more adventure-ready now than ever, with a new wave of technology and safety components in the cabin. The Grand Cherokee still seats five people, and it has an exceptionally spacious cabin with a generous volume of storage space in the back.

2022 Grand Cherokee Trims and Features

The 2022 Grand Cherokee is available in several different appealing trim levels. Depending on the trim level you want to drive, you can get either a gasoline engine or a hybrid engine for the Grand Cherokee. The first trim for the Jeep this year is the Laredo. With the Laredo, you'll get a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen, but you now have the choice of getting an even larger 10-inch display for your Jeep. Rear parking assist technology is included on the base level of the Grand Cherokee for the first time. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both standard on the Jeep this year, and its exterior gets strong LED lighting with LED lights on the front and back ends. Second is the Altitude, which has a remote vehicle start, heated leather seats for the front row occupants, and a wireless charging pad. The Limited builds on that list with a six-speaker advanced sound system and active noise cancellation for a quieter ride. A heated steering wheel is a lovely winter weather touch. The Trailhawk is a more off-road oriented trim with a unique air suspension system and a sway bar disconnect. A nine-speaker audio system is a notable upgrade. The Overland has a hands-free power liftgate and a dual-pane moonroof. The Summit gets a black roof and a standard 10-inch display. The Summit Reserve adds a screen for the passenger.

2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Horsepower

If you choose the gasoline engine for your Jeep, you'll get a V6 engine with a power output of 293 HP. The second engine is a new turbo hybrid capable of 375 HP in power and 470 LB-FT of torque. This engine gives the Jeep 25 miles of range.
