What's New for the 2022 Dodge Charger?

Dodge now offers a new deluxe security alarm system, which gives Charger owners an extra degree of protection against theft.

2022 Charger Trims & Features

Dodge's four-door muscle car is now available in seven main trim levels. Equipped with a Pentastar V6 engine, the entry-level SXT trim is a great value. Just a few of its standard features include a 7.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Keyless Enter 'n Go, and a ParkView backup camera.

Drivers who prefer a sportier look will love the Charger GT. It adds a performance hood, a spoiler, and larger 20-inch Satin Carbon wheels. To promote tighter handling, Dodge also equips the GT trim with a performance suspension. Another cool feature is the car's upgraded 8.4-inch touchscreen, which features a built-in Dodge Performance Pages app. Several options are available, including a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.

While the Charger RT looks similar, its Hemi V8 engine packs more power. An active exhaust also enables drivers to enjoy the sound of a classic muscle car.

Another step up the performance ladder is the Charger Scat Pack, which features an even stronger Hemi V8 engine. Powerful Brembo brakes and Launch Control technology also comes standard. On the inside, you'll find heated front performance seats and a heated steering wheel.

The Charger Scat Pack Widebody has an especially menacing stance. Ultra-wide performance tires and a Bilstein Adaptive Damping Suspension help take handling to the next stage.

A supercharged Hemi V8 engine enables the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye to deliver an especially thrilling performance. Few sedans pack as much muscle under the hood. Dodge's exclusive SRT Power Chiller and a Race Cooldown feature help protect the engine from overheating.

Atop the lineup sits the new Charger SRT Jailbreak trim. It gives you access to a greater number of customizable build configurations.

2022 Dodge Charger Horsepower

Even Dodge's standard Pentastar V6 engine cranks out up to 300 horsepower. While the 5.7L Hemi engine develops 370 horsepower, the larger 392 Hemi engine pushes out a more exciting 485 horsepower. Thrill-seekers will especially love the supercharged Hemi engine, which generates a staggering 797 horsepower. Every new Charger uses an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

Dodge Charger Safety

Great crash scores enabled the Charger to earn a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. This muscle car also offers several advanced safety features, including forward collision warning with Active Braking.
