What's New for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler?

There are not a lot of major changes to the 2022 Jeep Wrangler, however, that does not make it any less exciting of an option. Like in 2021, the Wrangler still provides you with many options for a custom finish. You can even choose between multiple engines and either stick with the standard gasoline engine or switch over to the optional diesel engine instead. The Jeep's doors and top are also removable for times when you want more fresh air.

2022 Wrangler Trims and Features

The different Wrangler trim levels vary, especially when choosing between the two-door or the four-door Wrangler. The two-door version has three trim levels: the Sport, the Sport S, and the top model called the Rubicon. The Wrangler with four doors, the Unlimited, is available in the Sahara and Rubicon 392 trim levels. There is also a hybrid model that slots in between the two. Four-wheel drive with low-range gearing is the standard drivetrain for most Jeeps, but you have the choice of getting a full-time four-wheel drive. All Jeep Wrangler models seat five people. Tow hooks, skid plates, and fog lights are standard, and the Jeep starts with a five-inch touchscreen. A larger seven-inch display comes with the Sahara, which also has body-colored fender flares and a body-colored grille.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Horsepower

There are five potential engines to choose from when choosing a Jeep Wrangler. The base engine is a 3.6L V6 with a power output of 285 HP and a maximum 260 LB-FT of torque. This engine can be ordered with either a manual six-speed transmission or an automatic transmission with eight speeds. After that comes a turbo 2.0L V4 engine that generates 270 HP in power and nearly 300 LB-FT in torque. This engine has an automatic transmission. The top gasoline engine is a 6.4L V8 with a significant power increase to 470 HP and the same in torque. You also have the option of a V6 diesel engine if you get the four-door Wrangler. The final available engine is a plug-in hybrid that you can get with the four-door Wrangler. This engine produces 375 HP in power and 470 LB-FT in torque.
