What's New For the 2020 Dodge Charger?

Across the board, the 2020 Dodge Charger family gets minor changes. This includes redesigned fender flares that are 3.5 inches wider to accommodate wider tires, which are available through a wide body package. Other than the change in exterior dimensions, the 2020 Charger does not get significant updates.

The Scat Pack adds an exclusive eight-speed transmission for optimal power and performance. The 2020 Dodge Charger welcomes a custom finish with nine available trim colors. You also have a choice between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. No matter which trim level you choose, you can look forward to unique features such as an aerodynamic hood scoop, a dual-air extractor that removes excess engine heat, and custom badges on the grille, fender, and decklid.

2020 Charger Trims & Features

The Charger family starts with the SXT, which comes standard with a four-way adjustable driver's seat and lumbar support. An identical seat is available for the front passenger. The seats are designed with a custom sporty appearance and finished with a soft cloth. Height-adjustable seat belts are a bonus. Technology is not left behind in the 2020 SXT. This trim gets a standard 12V center console power outlet and a second 12V auxiliary power outlet for convenience.

A seven-inch touchscreen display and a media hub cover information and entertainment. Dual-zone climate control is standard for comfort, while a leather-wrapped wheel and leather-wrapped shift knob add a luxurious touch. The GT, which is the next trim level in the lineup, upgrades to cloth performance seats. Higher-end Nappa seats are available. This trim also comes standard with a 4G WiFi hotspot. The audio system is upgraded to a premium Alpine sound system with six speakers and a 276W amplifier. Satellite radio is standard. The infotainment screen is also a larger 8.4-inch display.

The R/T has a 160MPH speedometer, an optional sunroof, and a standard Uconnect 4C infotainment system with an 8.4-inch display screen. The Scat Pack has custom performance seats with a bee logo. Bright pedals and a heated steering wheel are also standard. A second version, called the Scat Pack Widebody, has a wider frame with more interior space and maximum performance potential. Topping the line is the SRT Hellcat, also produced in a special wide body frame.

The 2020 Charger is available with four engines. A 3.6L V6 is standard. This engine's output is 292 HP and 264 LB-FT of torque. Next is the 5.7L V8, which is standard on the R/T. This engine produces 370 HP and 395 LB-FT of torque. The Charger Scat Pack gets a standard 392 V8 engine with class-leading power credentials of 485 HP and 475 LB-FT of torque. The most powerful engine is a supercharged 6.2L V8 that generates 707 HP.
